From 1 April 2024, Lesotho Tourism has instituted a tourism levy to enter Lesotho at the Sani Top border post - the amount will go to developing tourism in Lesotho. The current amount is R100 per adult, children are free.

VERY MEMORABLE. GUIDE 'MO' WAS EXCEPTIONAL. we have been many day trips and tours around the world but this guide was very engaging, free spirited which made the few days in lesotho unforgettable. i guessed our 2 lovely tour mates did make a lot of difference. we danced, sang african and even hymns on sunday. It was significant for us to see all of God's glory on a Sabbath, as we worshipped in our hearts. Food and lodging were good especially Botleng, eventho it was all a brief moment. To top it all, we had the horse ride to the waterfalls. Having to ride a horse unmanned for the first time was a big fear factor to overcome, notwithstanding the rough terrain and the high altitude of the falls.............truly gobsmacked....... - Yeong
Great trip, especially driving up the Sani Pass and eating and drinking at the bar at the top. The rest of the trip through Lesotho was enjoyable as well as entertaining. Our guide, Peter was very pleasant and enjoyable. We learned so much about the customs and history of this beautiful country. The Kingdom in the Sky definitely lived up to it's name. Amazing Lesotho Tour -- A Must-Visit Destination! I recently had the pleasure of visiting Lesotho, and it was an unforgettable experience! This beautiful country, known as the "Kingdom in the Sky," offers breathtaking landscapes, rich culture, and warm hospitality. Our tour took us through stunning mountain passes, traditional villages, and historical sites. The highlight was meeting the local Basotho people, learn about their traditions, and even try on the famous Basotho blanket. The lady that gave us the presentation (that sadly I dont remember her name) was absolutely amazing. The hospitality we received was beyond welcoming, making us feel right at home. If you love nature, history, and cultural experiences, Lesotho is a must-visit! I highly recommend this tour. It's a hidden gem that deserves more attention! - Dagmarie
