From 1 April 2024, Lesotho Tourism has instituted a tourism levy to enter Lesotho at the Sani Top border post - the amount will go to developing tourism in Lesotho. The current amount is R100 per adult, children are free.

This tour will take you up Sani Pass and further on into a village in the Mountain Kingdom, called Mokhotlong, allowing you to explore more of Lesotho in just a day!
It’s the perfect mix of nature, culture and history; enjoy Lesotho’s natural flora and fauna, driving past the highest peak Southern Africa, dive into the culture of the Basotho people in this historical trading post and take a peek into history by getting to see the old buildings that pack lots of history into this small village.

It is is really worth it while to do a 4x4 trip on the Sani pass. What a rough road! Horse riding in Lesotho opened up horizons and a short visit to Makothlong gave an idea what it is like to live in the highest city of Lesotho. Good one! - Rob
We had a great day. Our guide was very enthousiastic, he gave us so much information the whole day. We had the pass, but also a visit to a real village. There we had a chat whit the local woman. Also a visit to a town and to a bridge/dam they are building. Great lunch my a little river. We can really advise this tour! - Robert
